Sony’s recent 4.50 firmware update dropped last month, and it was devastating for a number of users who were no longer able to use their Wi-Fi connections to matter what they tried. Despite the unintended consequences, there were a lot of cool additions in this update like support for external harddrives, custom backgrounds, Boost Mode, and more. But none of them really mattered if it basically stopped you from being able to use online connectivity with your PlayStation 4. Now, thanks to update 4.55, this issue has finally been addressed and people whose Wi-Fi suddenly broke during the previous update should be all set now.
For players who have been without Wi-Fi, or with a very poorly performing connection, they’re just glad it works – whatever Sony wants to call it.
